A print that’s incredibly soft and breathable, so you can't even feel it. Unlike plastic-based prints, ours will never crack or peel.

We've designed our sustainable surf wear to last. Our prints are rigorously tested to withstand countless washes, sun, and salt, ensuring your designs age gracefully. They are fully certified by GOTS and OKEO-TEX, meaning they're free from nasty chemicals and are safe for your skin and our seas.

On our darker tees, we apply a gentle base coat to make the colours pop. This might feel textured at first, but it softens away after a wash, leaving nothing but a colourful, lasting design on your super-soft tee.

We use a special pre-treatment to make sure our eco-friendly, water-based inks look epic. This treatment doesn't always vibe with the sun, so a single wash rinses it away and prevents any unwanted UV staining.

For our heavyweight oversized tees and sweatshirts, that first wash is where the magic really happens. It dials in that perfect, weathered, lived-in feel as the ink settles into the fibres. This is all part of the plan to give you that instant vintage look we're all chasing.

For the first few years at Golden Buoy, we did things the old way. We’d screen print stacks of our designs and hold them in stock, which meant we could ship at lightning speed (even faster than Amazon). But there was a catch that went against everything we stand for.

To keep your favourite designs ready to go, we had to guess what you’d want. This meant constantly over-producing, creating a tide of potential waste that just didn’t sit right with us. It was the opposite of the eco-friendly mission we set out on.

So, after a short break, we paddled back out in 2025 with a fresh, clean line. We decided to ditch the stock-piling and embrace a more conscious approach: we only make a piece of clothing when you order it.
